However, with its curved, white casing with accenting blue lines, the PS5 will surely be the centerpiece of your entertainment room.

02 GO DIGITAL OR NOT AT ALL
More traditional gamers will be glad to know that Sony isn’t completely ditching the disc tray for their new generation of consoles.
On the other hand, for the ones that already see having a physical copy of your games as a thing of the past (or simply can’t be bothered to make room for new game cases) will be thrilled to have the PS5 Digital Edition.
The DE, besides not having a disc tray, will be more symmetric and likely cheaper, than its disc-capable brother.
03 THE GAMES
Sony’s reveal showed us how powerful their next-gen console will be.
With the breathtaking trailers for Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7.
And, the new adventures for beloved characters as Ratchet & Clank and Sackboy.
The PS5 promises to have a strong launch, filled to the brim with exclusives.
Third-party offerings will probably follow up quickly, and with Rockstar showing GTA 5 once again for the PS5, we can rest assured that the strong support Sony has managed to gather through four generations will translate in a ton of games for the console.

04 THE RESOLUTION
The PS5 will have 8k native support.
This means that we can enjoy crisps images at an insanely high resolution.
Most likely, the PS5 will have a significant effect on the proliferation of cheaper, commercially available 8k sets.
However, there still needs to be proof that the 8k resolution support will also mean games at a playable framerate.
We can only wait and see, but we should definitely be excited about this.
Sony unveiled the DualSense a bit earlier than the consol.
And, according to Sony, it will be a huge step-up from the beloved DualShock line.
With a design that is a clear evolution from the DualShock 4, this controller will be packed with a bunch of techs that will improve the experience.
The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will ensure an even smoother gaming experience.
We just hope that these neat characteristics will actually be used.
Unlike the quickly forgotten DualShock 4 touchpad, or the horrendous motion-control from the SixAxis.
06 THE SSD
Sure, it may not look like something to be excited about, but the custom-made NVMe SSD that will go inside the PS5 is one of the biggest weapons from Sony’s next-gen console.
Mark Cerny, the man behind the PS5 design, assured that the SSD will have a 12 channel interface, with a bandwidth of 5.5 GB/s, and a total of 825 GB of storage.
This may sound like an odd number since we are used to capacities like 500GB or 1TB, but Cerny claimed that they chose 825GB for maximum efficiency.
Now, what does all this techno-gibberish means?
The quick answer is that now all the games will have buttery-smooth loading times.
So, we can kiss goodbye to the long transitions between areas.

07 THE GRAPHICS
The PS5 (and for the record, the Series X) will come with hardware-accelerated RayTracing included, putting them at the same level as enthusiast-grade PCs.
This means that we can expect life-like lighting effects, breathtaking scenarios, and more, without sacrificing performance.
Sure, the graphic jump between PS4 and PS5 isn’t as notorious as it was with PS1 and PS2, but the AMD’s RDNA2 based GPU that powers the PS5 will deliver amazing graphic effects, and we should be thrilled to see what the developers can do with such powerful hardware on consoles.
